Updates:

Bake Sale
  • This year’s Bake Sale was a great success! Thank you to all who donated your time and baked goods. Thank you Cathy Ware for organizing.

MMM
  • Mini Concerts: 3rd grade mini concerts are this week.  Beethoven’s is Wednesday at 9:00 in the BTVN gym/auditorium, and Ohrenberger’s is this Friday at 9:00 in the cafe/auditorium.  Family and friends are invited to attend.  Check our Facebook page for photos from the mini concerts.
  • Spring Concert: The annual all-school concert for 4th and 5th graders is next Wednesday, March 16 at the Washington Irving Middle School Auditorium.  Students should report at 5:30 for warm-ups and dress rehearsal in a white shirt/blouse and black pants/skirt.  No child should be dropped off without a grownup to take them home.  This is a tremendous ensemble experience opportunity for the students.
  • Thank you for parents who have offered to volunteer at the event.  Assignments will be given upon arrival and may include being a room parent, checking in students, issuing name tags, ushering guests/handing out programs, working the bake sale, or loading equipment into cars.  If interested, please contact Joan Chan, kjbe1685@verizon.net.
  • Thank you to all who have placed a booster including the Beethoven-Ohrenberger parent council!  (A few of the other school parent councils also placed ads.  Ads are $15.  Deadline was last Friday.)
  • Spring Concert Bake Sale: We are hosting a parent-run bake sale, which will take place immediately following the concert.  We are asking families to bring individually wrapped baked goods to the concert.  5th graders were sent home with a reminder notice about the concert and the bake sale today, and 4th graders will bring home a notice about this Thursday.
  • Practice Shots on Facebook: The Ohrenberger School is dominating with shots of students practicing that we post on our Facebook page, but our queue of photos has dried up.  They are precious.  Please send photos of your MMM! students practicing at home to Britt Young, britt.young@yahoo.com.
