From the Principal – May 2015

Parents Rock

What a great evening! Special thanks go to Michele Sarro and her committee for all of their hard work and dedication. The events raised money for the school but, more important, parent connections were made.

Thanks from Afghanistan

All 20 boxes shipped from the Beethoven/Ohrenberger School made it to the 182nd Medical Company. They were overwhelmed by the generosity of our school community. Thank you!!!

Kindergarten 2 Moving On Ceremony

The K2 celebration is scheduled for Tuesday, June 23. The tentative time is 9:30 a.m.

School Attire

Now that the warm weather is finally here, I would like to remind everyone that short shorts, short skirts, and short shirts are not appropriate school attire and will not be permitted. For safety, no Heelys or flip-flops are allowed.

Parent-sponsored Field Day

Field Day is scheduled for Wednesday, June 10. We need parent volunteers to work this event. Sign-up sheets will be going home soon.

Schoolyard Safety

To ensure safety in the schoolyard at arrival time, STUDENTS MUST CROSS THE BUS LINE USING THE CROSSWALK. THEY SHOULD NEVER CROSS BETWEEN THE BUSES.

Time on Learning

Our school day begins at 8:30 a.m. More students, on a daily basis, are coming into the building late. This disrupts the established routines in the classroom, and students are missing out on valuable teaching time.

As you know, between 1:45 and 2:15, the school is finishing learning and preparing for dismissal. This is a very busy time in the classroom and in the office. Student will not be called for dismissal after 2 p.m.

Thank you for your cooperation.
