From the Principal – April 2015

I would like to thank the Parent Council for such an amazing Movie Night. It was so well-attended that we had to move the event to the Ohrenberger School’s cafeteria.

I also want to thank our community for their generosity with all the items collected to send overseas to the soldiers in Afghanistan.

Picture Day

Our school photographer will be back at the Beethoven School on Thursday, April 30. They will be taking only class photographs. Payment is due on the day the photos are taken. Students should be in their uniforms.

Art Show

The Beethoven Art Gallery will be open on Thursday, May 14, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. It is a wonderful display of the amazing art that students create at the Beethoven School. This year’s theme is: Crafty about Books.

The classroom teachers will be in their classrooms that evening to answer any questions you might have about the rest of the school year.

Lost and Found

We are going to clean out the lost and found after April vacation. All clothes left will be donated to charity. Last call!!!

Red Sox Day

Everyone is invited to wear their favorite baseball team’s hat or shirt to celebrate opening day at Fenway on Monday, April 13. In lieu of a hat or shirt, please feel free to wear the color red. We will be collecting donations for the Jimmy Fund.

Health Fair

This year, we are having a health fair on Saturday, May 9. If you are interested in helping out, please contact Nurse Letang at the Beethoven or Nurse Doherty at the Ohrenberger.

Playground Fun

It’s nice to see so many families using the playground at dismissal time. Please park your car close to the fence in the schoolyard. By parking by the fence, buses and student pickups can flow easier in the yard. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Field Trip Chaperones

As the school year approaches its last few months, many classes take field trips. If you are interested in being a chaperone, please talk to your child’s teacher. We must have on file in the office Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) check on all chaperones. These can easily be filled out in the office. Thank you for your cooperation.
