February was a very snowy month for us in Boston. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate as spring is right around the corner. The items collected in our extended Souper Bowl food drive were delivered to the Roslindale Food Pantry. Thank you for your continued support and participation in this activity.
We will celebrate Green Day on Tuesday, March 17. All students are encouraged to wear green on that day.
The craft fair was a huge success. Thanks to everyone who participated and made the event possible.
Our annual parent social will be held on April 10 at the West Roxbury Elks Lodge on Spring Street. It is a great night to meet other Beethoven/Ohrenberger families, listen to great music, win raffles, and have fun at an adults-only evening.
The Fourth Annual Art Show at the Beethoven School will be held on Thursday, May 14, from 5 to 7 p.m. It is a wonderful evening to see the art work created by our students. All classroom teachers will be there so you can check in with them about your child.
Due to the amount of snow days, there will be school on March 17 this school year. If you have any questions, please speak to your child’s teacher or the main office.
Our wellness teams from both buildings are planning a wellness fair on Saturday, May 9. If you would be interested in helping out, please contact Nurse Letang.
If you are dropping off your child in the drop-off lane, adults must stay in the car and students should exit the car on the curbside.
During the month of March, grade 3 will be taking the PARCC test. As the test is being administered, we need to have some small changes at the Beethoven.
The week of March 23, we can have no visitors in the building, as our third graders will be testing on those days. The building will also have to be extra quiet so our students can focus and do their best. Thank you for your assistance.
