From the Principal – February 2015

“Souper Bowl” Food Drive

Our food drive kicked off to a great start. So far, we’ve collected more than 400 items for the Roslindale Food Bank! We will continue to collect food items until Friday, February 6. Once again, thank you for all of your support for this great cause.

Lost and Found

Our Lost and Found collection is piling up. Please have your child check if they are missing any winter clothing.

Anyone who made a donation in our school fundraiser and would like a tax letter, please let Mrs. Deluca know in the main office. This fundraiser is ongoing and donations are always accepted.

Transportation Changes

Please write notes to your classroom teacher if there are any changes in your child’s transportation plan. Last-minute calls to the school can cause confusion and mistakes can be made. Please also inform us if someone other than the people on the list will be picking up your student.

School Vacation

There will be no school during the week of February 16 to 20. All students will return to school on Monday, February 24.

Craft Fair

On Saturday, February 7, the Parent Council will host a craft fair at the Ohrenberger cafeteria from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. RSVP to ensure that enough crafts are available for the students. If you are interested in volunteering for the event, please contact the main office. This is not a drop-off event.

First in Math

This is a reminder that all students in grades 1 to 3 have access to the First in Math website (www.firstinmath.com). First in Math is an Internet-based math program that reinforces basic math skills in a fun manner. Students can practice their skills from addition to multi-step algebra. Each student has a unique user ID and password to access the program at school and at home. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask Mrs. Garlington, our computer teacher.
