From the Principal – December 2014

FROM THE PRINCIPAL – December 2014

I would like to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season. Have a restful and fun vacation.

Grades K1 and K2 – December 17

The shows will begin promptly at 9 a.m.

Parent Conferences

Individual parent conferences will take place in January for all grades. You will be receiving a letter from your child’s teacher with a specific date and time for your individual conference.

Book Fair

The parent-run Scholastic Book Fair will be held from December 15 to 19. Parents are invited to visit the fair. Please see flyers for additional times and information.

Winter Recess

The last full day before vacation is December 23. Winter Break ends on January 2. All students should report back to school on Monday, January 5.

Report Cards

Report cards will be distributed on December 12, 2014. There will be no kindergarten report cards this marking period.

Parents Rock!

A date has been set! Book the babysitters! Parents Rock is scheduled for Friday, April 10, 2015.

Holiday Show Seating

Due to the overwhelming number of visitors who attend our holiday shows, we will not allow siblings from other classes or grades to sit with their parents to watch the show. The students will get an opportunity to see the show in its entirely prior to the winter break. Thank you for your assistance and understanding.

Ms. Krakow, the co-principal, is out on leave for the rest of the school year. In her absence, Mr. Puliafico will be spending a large portion of his time between the Beethoven and Ohrenberger Schools. At the Ohrenberger, he will work closely with Mr. Chojnowski to make sure everything runs smoothly for the remainder of the year. At the Beethoven, Mrs. Holbrook will be the teacher in charge of maintaining the quality and standards of our building. Miss Sarah Blake will cover the resource room in place of Mrs. Holbrook. We are confident that these decisions are in the best interest of all the students, families, and staff at the Beethoven/Ohrenberger School.
