Parent and Site Councils

This month, we will be having joint School Site and Parent Council meetings on 11/18 at the Ohrenberger School.

International Night

Our annual International Night will take place on November 13 from 5 to 7 p.m. Please bring your favorite dish from your culture to share with the school community.

Bake Sale

The Parent Council will hold a bake sale on November 4 during the election. All funds raised will benefit events throughout the year.

Mark Your Calendars

The dates for the holiday shows are:

Grades 1, 2, and 3 – December 16

Grades K1 and K2 – December 17

The shows begin at 9 a.m.

Coat Drive

The Parent Council will is hosting a coat drive. From now until November 8, bring in any winter coats that no longer fit. We will have an exchange from November 12 to 15.

Thanksgiving Recess

Please note that Wednesday, November 26, is a half day of school. Dismissal begins at 12:15 p.m. Be prepared for the buses to get to the stop two hours earlier than usual. We will return to school on Monday, December 1. I would like to wish everyone a happy and safe Thanksgiving holiday.

Lost and Found

Our Lost and Found is filling up at record rates. Please write your child’s name on their jackets and sweatshirts. If they end up in the Lost and Found, they can be returned.

Safety in the Schoolyard

With the upcoming elections on November 4, please be extra cautious driving in the schoolyard during arrival and /or dismissal times. The community of voters are not aware of the driving routines that have been established in the schoolyard. I’d like to thank everyone in advance for their patience and help during the election days this year. We are expecting a high voter turnout.

During a regular dismissal day, the school buses have priority to leave the schoolyard. Please pull your car as close to the front of the schoolyard as possible and avoid parking toward the school entrance by the playground. Thank you.
