From the Principal – September 2013

Welcome back to another exciting year at the Beethoven School. I am really looking forward to a year of exciting learning opportunities and adventures.

There will be an Open House for all parents on Wednesday, September 18th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. All parents are invited to come and meet the teachers, see the classrooms, and go over individual class’s syllabus and rules.

The Beethoven School Site Council will have its first meeting in October. The Parent Council meeting will be October 8th.

The fall fundraiser will begin at the Open House. Thank you in advance for your continued support. Please watch for the fund raising flyers from the school.

The building will be under some form of construction throughout the year. As the school year progresses, most of the work will be done after school hours. For the month of September the primary work to be accomplished will be to install the sprinkler  and new fire alarm systems on the second floor (rooms 201—204). If you have any questions, please ask Mr. Puliafico and he can help you or find the answers to your construction questions.

All parents are reminded that you must stay to the LEFT of the yellow lines when dropping off and picking up your child. Please pull to the front of the yard to make room for others. All students must be picked up on the sidewalk by an adult and then  escorted to the car. Please remember to cross in the crosswalk. The bus drivers have a hard time seeing people walking between the vehicles. With the help of everyone, we can keep the students safe in the schoolyard during pickup and drop off times.
