From the Principal – April 2013

English Language Arts MCAS
I would like to commend all of the Beethoven students for their hard work while taking the English Language Arts portion of the MCAS test. I also want to thank all of the students in grades K1—2 for keeping the building so quiet during testing. Great Job By All!

Picture Day
Our school photographer will be back at the Beethoven on Thursday, May 2nd. They will be taking only class photographs. Payment ($5.75) is due on the day the pictures are taken. Students should be in their uniforms.

Art Show
The Beethoven Art Gallery will be open on May 1, 2013 from 5:00—7:00 PM. It is a wonderful display of the amazing Art that students do at the Beethoven School. The theme this year is: Inspired by Nature. The classroom teachers will be at the school that evening in their classrooms to answer any questions you might have for the rest of the school year.

Lost and Found
We are going to clean out the lost and found after April Vacation. All clothes left will be donated to a charity. Last Call!!!

Red Sox Day
Everyone is invited to wear their favorite baseball teams’ hat or shirt to celebrate opening day at Fenway on Friday, April 13th. In lieu of a hat or shirt please feel free to just wear the color red. GO RED SOX!!!

Movie Night
Movie Night will be Thursday, April 25th and will begin at 5:30 PM. Due to capacity issues there will be a flyer to RSVP for the evening event.

It’s nice to see so many families using the playground at dismissal time. Please park your car as close to the fence in the schoolyard. By parking by the fence, busses and student pickups can flow easier in the yard. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

As the year is coming to the last few months, many classes take field trips. If you are interested in being a chaperone please talk to your child’s teacher. We must have on file in the office Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) check on all chaperones. These can be easily filled out in the office. Thank you for your cooperation.
