School Drop Off/Pick-Up – Safety remains a top priority. Thank you to all parents who are following the drop off and parking procedures provided. Remember: Always use the cross walk! Never park in the bus lane or block the driveway entrance or the Fire station next door.
Election Bake Sales – Many thanks to both the families who baked for the election bake sale last week and to our volunteers who worked the bake sale. We raised $432!!! Pretty impressive for a fairly light voter turnout… can’t wait for November! THANK YOU to all of our parents and staff for their support!
New Equipment – As a result of our fundraising efforts we have purchased new chairs for the auditorium and a new amplifier for school events. Our old chairs were donated for scrap medal.
Reminder: Room to Grow toy drive is underway through March 23rd. Please consider donating new or excellent condition toys for ages 0-3. Please see roomtogrow.org for further information on acceptable items or contact Magda Hernandez at firstname.lastname@example.org.
International Night: April 12 – Beethoven family event to celebrate the diversity and cultures within our school. Families are encouraged to bring a dish representative of their culture. We will also have other “cultural” activities for the kids. More info to come. A flyer will be distributed in advance
The Snake Man: April 13 – A fun educational opportunity for the kids! “The snake man” will visit the school and bring a selection of reptiles. Expect a lively dinner conversation when you ask the kids “so, what did you do in school today?”!
Field Day: June 7, rain date June 8 – Kris Hughes has graciously offered to chair this event for the third year. We appreciate Katie Tattan’s offer to co-chair. This is a volunteer intensive event in which we offer a series of fun activities for the kids. Each grade comes for approximately 90 minutes. If anyone has ideas for new “stations” or activities, please feel free to pass along their feedback to Kris Hughes at email@example.com
As always, thank you for your ongoing support of the Beethoven community!
