From the Principal — November 2010

First of all, I would like to wish everyone a happy and safe Thanksgiving holiday!

Please be aware that if your child comes in after 8:30 they will be marked tardy for school.  Coming late disrupts classroom routines and procedures.  Please bring your child to school on time.

Bake Sale
The Parent Council held another Bake Sale on November 2nd and it was a huge success!  Thank you to everyone who baked and ate to support the school.

Early Dismissal
Please be aware that school dismissal is at 2:25PM.  All parents should wait outside until students are dismissed.  Only in the case of a rare emergency, will students be dismissed early.  It is very disruptive to the classes to have students leave 10 minutes early.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Family Movie Night
Looking for a fun family activity?  Come to Family Movie Night at the Beethoven.  See a movie and have some pizza with the Beethoven family on November 10, from 5:30PM  — 8:00PM.  Hope to see you there.

Thank you everyone for your support of the Meadow Farms fundraiser.

Mark your Calendars
The dates for the Holiday shows are:

Grades 1, 2 & 3 – Dec. 17

Grades K1 & k2 – Dec 16

The shows will begin at 9:00 AM.

Safety in the Schoolyard
With another upcoming election (Nov. 16) please be extra cautious driving in the schoolyard during arrival and/or dismissal times.  The community voters are not aware of the driving routines that have been established in the schoolyard.  I’d like to thank everyone in advance for their patience and help during the election days this year.

During a regular dismissal day the school buses have priority to the leave the schoolyard.  The busses are getting stuck in the yard and are unable to leave which  causes a jam in the lot.  Thank you.

How to Help
Lastly, please remember to participate in:

  • Boxtops for Education from Kimberly Clark brand products.
  • Ink cartridges from any printer brand to recycle to get money for the school.
  • Don’t forget to register your Stop and Shop card for A+ School Rewards!
