From the Principal — October 2010

Tardiness

Please be aware of the new school hours of 8:25 AM.  Many students are coming to school late and are missing valuable instruction time.  Thank you for your attention.

Harvest Parade

The annual Harvest parade will take place on Friday, Oct. 29th from 1:00—1:30PM.  Student can change into their costumes at school just before the parade.  If a family does not celebrate Halloween, please write a note to your child’s teacher.

Fund Raiser

Our first fund raiser of the year is underway way.  The materials should be returned no later than Oct. 22.

Jim Plunkett

The Beethoven will be hosting an Adult Only Night at the West Roxbury Elks.  Jim Plunkett will be performing and tickets cost $20 (in advance) and $25 (night of show).  Space is limited, please purchase your tickets in advance.

A+ School Rewards

Stop &Shop has a program that allows the Beethoven to earn money by registering yours and your friends Stop & Shop rewards card.  It’s very easy, just go to: http://www.stopandshop.com/aplus

The code for the Beethoven is 08253.  If you have any problems or questions please see Mr. Puliafico.

Safety in the Schoolyard

It is very difficult to dismiss 300 students at one time.   Please help us in maintaining a safe schoolyard.

During dismissal and pickup times please pull up as far as you can in the schoolyard.  The busses are being blocked and cannot turn into the yard which causes Washington Street to be congested.

While in the schoolyard please use the crosswalk to safely walk your student across the bus lane.

We need and appreciate everyone’s help to keep the schoolyard as safe as possible.
